What to put on an event badge
Two or three fields, nice and big, so they can be read from a distance. Usually first name and surname, plus the company or the pass type. Add more and the text gets small, and the badge stops doing its job: telling you who you’re talking to.

The label size
The standard label we use for A6 badges measures about 57 × 51 mm. The A6 badge card carries the event design, and the label, printed on the spot with each person’s details, is stuck on top. We can use other sizes if the event needs it.

What to leave off
- Email or phone number: the badge doesn’t need them, and they’re personal data on display.
- Long job titles (“Business Development Manager for Southern Europe”): the company works better.
- Logos and colours on the label: the printer prints in black. Colour goes on the badge card, the holder or the lanyard, and helps tell profiles apart.

Is the template included?
Yes: the standard template, with name, surname and company, is included. If you need another field or a code for the door, we adapt it separately.
Can it print in colour?
The label printer prints in black. To tell profiles apart we use the colour of the badge card, the holder or the lanyard.
What if a name doesn’t fit?
We sort it out when we prepare the template with your list: that’s where the long names show up and we see how to fit them.
Shall we prepare your template?
The standard one, with name, surname and company, comes with the Print Service. If you need another field, we adapt it.
